Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung yang diaplikasikan pupuk cair ekstrak kompos dengan berbagai konsentrasi dan waktu pemberian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan September 2011 sampai Februari 2012 di Balai Penelitian Terpadu (ATP) Desa Bakung, Kecamatan Indralaya, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi pupuk cair ekstrak kompos Biofitalik (K) terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu perlakuan yaitu K0(0%), Kl(50%), K2(100%). Faktor kedua adalah waktu aplikasi (S) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu SI (10 HST), S2(10 dan 40 HST), S3(15 dan 45 HST). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa interaksi kedua faktor perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah biji per baris dan berat tongkol per tanaman, dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter tongkol. Perlakuan konsentrasi pemupukan biofitalik menunjukkan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter tongkol. Faktor waktu aplikasi menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap diameter tongkol . Kombinasi terbaik terdapat pada K2S3 (Konsentrasi 100% dan waktu aplikasi 15 dan 45 HST) dengan produksi mencapai 9,24 ton/ha.
