Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Diversifikasi Usaha Petani Jagung di Desa Tunas Peracak Kabupaten Oku Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui diversifikasi usaha petani jagung. Penelitian ini mengkaji permasalahan mengenai diversifikasi usaha petani jagung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian sebanyak 6 orang. Data yang diperoleh dengan cara studi kasus. Teori dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pilihan rasional milik Coleman. Bentuk diversifikasi usaha petani jagung berupa melakukan pekerjaan paruh waktu, membuat batubata, kulibangunan, ngojek motor. Sedangkan alasan petani memilih pekerjaan lain yaitu kemampuan membuat batubata, pendidikan yang rendah dan kurang kemampuan petani.
