Abstract

This thesis entitled Public Relations Strategy PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja in Efforts to Handle Negative News in Print Media. This study aims to find out the Public Relations Strategy of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja in Efforts to Handle Negative News in Print Media. This research type of thesis is qualitative research. The results showed that Public Relations Strategy PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja in Efforts to Handle Negative News in Print Media do formative research by analyzing news content and coordinate with related work units. In the strategy setting stage, the goal is to maintain a reputation. At the tactical stage, the source of funds used from public relations funds and answer negative news with a time interval of Jx24 hours. At the evaluation research stage is done by observing the communication output to see the suitability of action with the plan against the budget issued. Observations are also made on the purpose of establishing understanding and acceptance by means of monitoring in print media. The recommendation of the results of this study suggests that preferably within the public relations strategy not only maintains a reputation but also enhances the company's reputation.
