Abstract

This research is motivated by many people in Palembang City that have not prosperous yet, so attention is needed from various parties to ensure the walfare of the community. The government efforts in improving the walfare of the society in Palembang has been done through various aspects, one of them the empowerment of society through Post Service of Appropriate Technology (Posyantek). This study aims to find out how the . implementation of community empowerment through Pos Pelayanan Teknologi Tepat Guna (Posyantek) in Sako District of Palembang City, in accordance with the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation of The Republic of Indonesia, No. 20 of 2010 on Community Empowerment through Management of Appropriate Technology. The type of this research is descriptive research using qualitalive method Tha data used in the research consist of primary and secondary data, obtained through observation, interview and documentation. This research is analyzed using success aspect of implementation according to David c.· Korten that is the suitability between the program and the beneficiaries, suitability between the program and the implementing organization and the suitability between the user group and the implementing organization. The results of the implementation of community empowerment through Post Service Appropriate Technology (Posyantek) in Sako district of Palembang City has not run well. This is because the Jack of understanding of program implementation, so that the active role of human resources is still limited, Jack of socialization and limited funds in program implementation. Nevertheless, the implementation of this program at least helped the community to achieve a good life.
