Abstract

The research is titled implementation of policy on parking restrictions in the street agency by the Dapartement of Transportation of Palembang City ( Study on Jenderal Sudirman) this thesis is motivated by there are still many vehicles parked on the road can reduce area of the road and cause traffic flow is hampered. This research uses Ripley and Franklin Theory which is reviewed from three aspects first , level of compliance, routine function, performance and impact. This study aims to know and obtain a picture of how implementation of policy on parking restrictions in the street agency by department tr_ansportation of palembang cit . Method uded in this research is descriptive qualitative. The ·data obtained based on the results of interviews and observation directly . Based on the results of the analisis and observations, results of this study is still a lack of awareness from the side of the road users to comply with the rules, and the punishment is not enough to create a deterrent effect to th e community. Other than that th e lack of facilities in implementation of policy on parking restrictionsin the street of palembang city. The existence of this research is expected to give input for departement transportation of Palembang City to implement parking restrictions policy on the road by department transportation of Palembang City can be optimal,
