Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi program linear di SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek siswa kelas XI berjumlah 6 orang yang masing-masing 2 orang berkemampuan matematika tinggi, 2 orang berkemampuan matematika sedang dan 2 orang berkemampuan matematika rendah yang didapatkan melalui tes kemampuan matematika. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data ada 3 yaitu tes kemampuan matematika untuk mendapatkan subjek penelitian, tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan wawancara. Dari tes dan wawancara didapatkanlah hasil bahwa ada 3 orang yang memiliki skor kemampuan representasi cukup dan 3 orang yang memiliki skor kemampuan representasi kurang. Adapun persentase kemunculan indikator representasi visual sebesar 40,65 %, indikator representasi simbolik sebesar 55,95 %, dan persentase kemunculan indikator representasi verbal sebesar 34,89 %.
