Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of lime doses and planting methods on the growth and production of Inpari 32 rice varieties. This research was conducted in the field of Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency (3°2198752.”S 104°64717756E) from November to February 2023. The experimental design used in this study was a Split Plot Design with 3 replications. The main plot is the dose of lime, namely: K1 = 0 tons/ha lime, K2 = 1 ton/ha lime, K3 = 2 tons/ha lime. Subsidiary plots are planting methods namely: T1 = Tabela, T2 = Transplanting. Parameters observed included plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, flowering age, leaf area, leaf greenness level, panicle length, weight of filled grain per clump, weight of 1000 grains, dry weight of plant stover per clump, and percentage of empty grain. Based on the results showed that the interaction between lime dose treatment (K) on the main plot and planting method (T) on the subplots did not significantly affect all observation parameters. The results obtained from the lime dose treatment factor had a very significant effect on flowering age and leaf area and a significant effect on the dry weight of plant stover. While the results obtained from the planting method treatment factor had a very significant effect on the number of tillers per clump, the number of productive tillers per clump, the weight of filled grains per clump and the weight of plant stover per clump and had a significant effect on plant height and the percentage of empty grains.
