Abstract

Cases of accidents from the report of the Labor Social Security Implementation Agency (BPJS), in Indonesia the number of work accidents was reported to increase in 2018 the number of reported work accidents was 123,041 cases, meanwhile throughout 2018 it reached 173,105 cases. Fatigue is the main factor associated with work accidents, one of the factors that causes fatigue is nutritional status. The research objective was to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and the level of work fatigue experienced by workers. This study uses quantitative research with analytic observational methods with a cross sectional approach. The samples involved in this study were employees of the palm oil mill process at PT X, Babat Toman, Musi Banyuasin, as many as 81 respondents. Sampling was done by simple random sampling. The data obtained was tested by chi-square. The results showed that the most employees experienced low fatigue and normal nutritional status. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between nutritional status and work fatigue in workers in the palm oil production division at PT X. Researchers suggest workers to stretch or relax their muscles for 2-3 minutes during breaks and maintain a good eating pattern by following the principle of fill my plate especially workers who have abnormal nutritional status.
