Abstract

Runoff is the water that flows on the surface due to the lack of soil infiltration capacity. Excessive runoff can cause floods. One area that is affected by this issue is the Housing of Unsri Lectures, Bukit Lama Village, Palembang City. This study aims to provide an alternative drainage planning in the form of infiltration wells and analyze the dimension scenarios that can help reduce excessive runoff. In this study, data analysis was conducted using daily rainfall data from the Kenten and SMB II rain gauge stations, digitization of the planning area using Arc Map 10.8, soil permeability coefficients, and existing drainage dimensions, which were then modeled using Microsoft Excel 2016 algorithm. The infiltration well planning was created with four different scenarios. The differences lie in the roof catchment classification to determine the quantity and diameter variations of the infiltration wells. The determination of the effective scenario was based on cost estimation calculations for each scenario. The simulation results showed that blocks 1, 3, 5, and 6 used scenario 4, blocks 2 and 7 used scenario 2, and block 4 used scenario 3. This was done to provide variation in the planning for each block of the housing area to achieve cost efficiency. The total cost required is Rp. 1,736,155,130, with a total of 283 infiltration wells and a runoff reduction effectiveness of 50.24%.
