Abstract

The advent of technological construction, many building construction structures have undergone a significance change. It has been discovered many new structures that can be designed to create a building construction. The composite structure is a structure consisting of two or more materials with different properties and form an unity to produce a better combined properties. The use of composite materials is expected to be more economical without experiencing a decrease in strength of the structure. This overview calculation is aims to find out how much the difference between the dimensions and volumes obtained from the use of composite structures. The calculation is done based on the analysis of floor slabs on the A.R. Bunda Lubuk Linggau hospital project, and comparing between existing floor slab construction using the same composite slab construction. From the calculation result showed that, with the same load the composite structures can reduce the material consumption.
