Abstract

The research has been done about the effect of NaOH concentration and temperature for structure, magnetism, and surface area from Fe3O4 by co-precipitation method has been done. NaOH concentration were varied from 1M, 2M and 3M, while temperature were differently set as 30oC,45oC and 60oC. The resulted of Fe3O4 was characterized by using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The spectra from XRD shows sharp peaks at 2θ which indicated a Fe3O4 peaks based on JCPDS No. 65-3107. Highest crystallinity was shown at Fe3O4 that synthesize with 1M NaOH and temperature of 45ºC. Magnetism characterization was reached highest number as 81.87 emu/g at Fe3O4 with synthesize by 3M NaOH and 60oC of temperature. The largest surface area as 1.4877 m2/g was achieved at Fe3O4 that synthesize with 1M NaOH and 45oC of temperature.
