Abstract

The Impact of Climate Change to Cultivation Behavior and Adaptation of Swamp Swelled Rice Farmers in Sungai Pinang Banyuasin Village. This research aims to: 1) To determine the behavior of rice cultivation before and after climate change in Sungai Pinang Village, 2) Calculate the comparison of the income of rice farmers before and after climate change in Sungai Pinang Village, 3) To find out how rice farmers adapt in the face of climate change in the village of Sungai Pinang. The research method used is the Survey method, while the sampling method used for this study is Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 30 samples. The data collected in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. This research was conducted on January - February in Sungai Pinang Banyuasin Vilage. The results of this research show that: 1) There differences of behavior indicate that the knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in swamp rice cultivation before the climate change and after climate. 2) The income earned by the sample farmers in Sungai Pinang Village in 2013 was Rp. 16,558,261, while in 2018 that is equal to Rp. 21,372,277. 3) Adaptation strategies used by rice farmers are, economic adaptation by borrowing money in gapoktan, ecological adaptation by using technology and replacing seedlings, social adaptation by utilizing social networks with social institutions, technological adaptation, by making drainage.
