Abstract

Global warming caused by greenhouse gases is an issue that is a global problem. The construction sector is one of the main causes of the greenhouse gas effect. Green building is one of the buildings with a low level of carbon emissions. Approximately 87% of the total buildings in Indonesia are house. Green homes are houses that are built with the principles of sustainability and resource efficiency. Palembang City is one of the cities in Indonesia with a high average air pollution. Conducted research on green homes in Palembang City regarding how green homes are in Palembang City by means of measurement based on Greenship and Green Mark standards, it is hoped that the people in Palembang City can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas effects and are able to take part in sustainable development. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, namely data collection through measurement, interviews, and observation. Data analysis was carried out using benchmarks contained in the Greenship Homes and Green Mark for Landed Houses standards. The results of the study showed that in the Greenship Homes standard the highest percentage was obtained by the appropriate site development category of 73.5%, in the Green Mark for Landed Houses standard the highest percentage was obtained by the indoor environmental quality category of 41.1%.
