Abstract

PUJA HARTIYANI The Effect of Lime Dosage and Planting Method on the Growth and Production of inpari 22 Variety Rice (Oryza sativa L.) at peat soil by Rujito Agus Suwignyo and Erizal Sodikin). Planting systems that are currently widely used by farmers in Indonesia are the transplanting system (tapin) and direct seed planting (tabela). One of the constraints of farmers when cultivating rice plants is the decline in production. The cause of decreased production is low soil pH or acidic soil. Lime application is one solution to increase soil pH. This study aims to determine the application of lime and the use of planting methods on rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) variety Inpari 22 in peat soil. This research was conducted in the field of Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir from November 2022 to February 2023. (3º219"87552´´S 104º 64´71777.4E). The experimental design method used in this research is Split plot design, where the main plot is the planting method, namely T1 = Tabela (direct seed planting), T2 = Tapindan and subplots are the dose of lime K1 = 0 tons/ha lime, K2 = 1 ton/ha lime, K3 = 3 tons/ha lime, so that 6 treatment combinations are obtained and repeated 3 times so that 18 experimental units are obtained. The research data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance and further tested with the least significant difference test at the 5% level. The results showed that the provision of lime doses had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers per clump, flowering age, leaf area, leaf greenness level, weight of filled grain per clump, planting method had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, weight of filled grain per clump, percentage of empty grain, dry weight of plant stover, and had a significant effect on flowering age, panicle length, leaf greenness level.
