Abstract

Benteng Kuto Besak in the city of Palembang is one of the heritage area visited by many people. Also in this area there is also a Monument Ampera, Dermaga Point and Pasar 16 Ilir be a trading activity suiTOunding community. Increasing the amount of activity, especially in tourist areas and shopping in the area Kuto Besak Palembang This requires the ample parking space and adequate parking facilities. However, ample parking space is still not optimally doped and is still widely used by illegal parking attendants to collect parking fees illegally. This of course will create a drop in the number of parking retribution in the region and cause a decline in levies of local budgets (PAD). Therefore, the govemment began to implement an electronic parking meter system in an effort to analyze various parking problems, especially problems parking charges in the city of Palembang. This study aims to evaluate the application of the system of electronic means of parking meters to be in the area Kuto Besak so that the front tool parking meter can be applied in all comers of the city of Palembang and analyze the characteristics of parking in the area Kuto Besak Palembang by using the method of approach formula, method Directorate General of the Army in 1996 and was simulated using Vissim 8.0 microsimulation program assistance.
