Abstract

During the rainy season often occurs flood in some areas in the city of Palembang one of whom was a puddle in the Kambang Iwak Besar. The puddle occurs during the rainy season and the time of the tide on the river Sekanak, so that the discharge of Retention Kambang Iwak Besar can not flow downstream due to the back flow of the river Sekanak. This study aimed to analyze the surface profile before and after the water is pumped, and with the existing pumps if they can be used in dealing with the flooding. The analysis was performed with the help of IIEC-RAS program version 4.1 is used to model the secondary drainage channels in order to get water surface profile at the time of maximum discharge conditions at the boundaries of the upstream and downstream tidal channel. At the upper limit debit used is the maximum outflow discharge of Retention Kambang Iwak Besar through building spillway and discharge runoff on Secondary Drainage Channels with Rational method. At the downstream limit of the data used tidal water level obtained from the measurement results directly in the field manually for 15 days. Discharge through the spillway construction of 1,034 m3 / s and rational method runoff discharge of 5,580 m3 / s. Based on the analysis results obtained HEC-RAS water level in some of the STA that exceed the edge of the lefT and right channels. But after a pump with a capacity of 600 liters / sec operated for 4 hours water level retumed to normal. From the results of the analysis are obtained, the capacity of existing pumps still fulfill the function cope with the recent flooding.
