Abstract

Accumulator is a component that can convert chemical energy into electrical energy. Accumulator is mades of two electrodes in oxide plate and lead plate forms, while for the electrolyte used liquid sulfuric acid. Liquid of fruits can be used as an alternative energy source for substitute of liquid sulfuric acid. This research will use mixing of liquids Mengkudu and bilimbi wuluh as an electrolyte of accumulator and use copper and zinc as an electrode. On this research mixing of mengkudu and bilimbi wuluh as an electrolyte with 3 varieties of mixing that is equal to 70%-30%, 50%-50%, and 30%-70% with total volume is 3 liters and 0,5 liters on each cell. The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of variety of mixing towards the voltage and current value produced. The best variety mixing of this research is variety mixing with percentage 70% bilimbi wuluh and 30% mengkudu. The value of voltage was produced without load is 4,45V, while the values of voltage and current was produced with load 3,6V is 2,58V for voltage and 0,00170A for current.
