Abstract

Hospital is one important element in development, but hospital activity will be followed by a negative environmental impact. The negative impact is that if the resulting liquid waste that is potentially damaging to the environment. Environmental risk arises if the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) is not capable of treating wastewater that exceeds the quality Standard. Therefore, it needs systematic application in minimizing the possibility of a risk to the environment. In this research, the identification and analysis of environmental risks based on the concept of environmental risk management by using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) .At the end of the study provided suggestions or recommendations to mitigate risk. Based on the identification of risk and the root cause of the risk, there are two risks that overflow wastewater effluent discharge, and decreased quality of effluent parameters. From each of these known risks identified risk levels based on risk matrix that risk overflow wastewater effluent discharge, and loss of quality parameters in the WWTP effluent in RSMH included in a scale of 1 (most likely very small and negligible small), then the risk of overflow discharge wastewater effluent and waste water quality degradation are at 1L scale (Low) with negligible potential scale pad level is considered to be an acceptable risk and control measures in the form of monitoring. Table scale effect (consequence) by the standards of Australia / New Zealand, then the result of the decline in the quality of waste water and effluent wastewater overflow discharge with a loss of Rp 1.021.400,-,including the scale of 1 (negligible/small).
