Abstract

Styrofoam is a type of waste that can not be decomposed in the soil. The research on mix design styrofoam concrete is to determine the effect of styrofoam in concrete with the additional of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% at the age of7 days, 14 days, 21 days, and 28 days along comparing the average of compressive strength using compressive strength machine o r MKT that destructive the test object and the average of compressive strength prediction using the reboimd hammer or RH and using the ultrasonic pulse velocity that non destructive the test object. The styrofoam that used is in the form of granules with a diameter of 6 mm as a partial replacement for coarse aggregate volume. After that, all of the data mil be analysis with regression linear analysis using microsoft excel. From the test results can be seen that the average of compressive strength MKT at 28 days for each addition of styrofoam 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% are 35.27 MPa, 23:48 MPa, 18.67 MPa, and 13.67 MPa. In the test that are not destructive the test object can be seen the the average of compressive strength prediction RH at 28 days for each addition of styrofoam 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% are 38.33 MPa, 31.67 MPa, 26.67 MPa, and 25.33 MPa and the average of compressive strength prediction UPV at 28 days for each addition of styrofoam 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% is 30.27 MPa, 25.58 MPa, MPa 19.52, and 17.17 MPa.
