Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the main types of energy needed for electrical equipment that has developed because of how good technology is that is useful for humans, has developed into an important aspect of life. In this study the authors will calculate the apparent power loss. Because the distance is quite far between the distribution line and the load, there will be a decrease in voltage and losses when transferring electrical energy to the distribution system. Although it is impossible to completely prevent power loss and voltage drop due to electrical system equipment not being 100% efficient, ensuring that everything that occurs is within the standard limits that have been set. By using the data collection method to obtain information about the feeders of the Kikim Sungai Juaro Palembang substation, the data collection procedure was carried out on-site, calculating the value of the power loss and voltage drop in the distribution network, and processing data on the power loss and voltage drop in the feeder system. distribution network entered into the formula and analyzed. Obtained from the feeder Kikim Substation Juaro River Palembang, the value of the power losses that occur is 13.540,258 Watt and the voltage drop that occurs is 267,8339 V with a proportion of 1,35%. Then based on SPLN 1: 1995 concerning the standard limits for the 20 kV distribution system voltage drop, namely +5% and -10% and also the minimum power loss value, the power losses and voltage drop that occur in the Kikim feeder are still in accordance with the standard which has been set
