Abstract

Perkembangan pada suatu daerah akan menyebabkan kebutuhan air bersih terus meningkat seiring dengan laju pertumbuhan penduduk, termasuk di kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini dibahas tentang besarnya kebutuhan air bersih yang dibutuhkan oleh penduduk Ogan Komering Ilir untuk kondisi sekarang sampai 15 tahun mendatang, untuk kemudian mengetahui apakah kapasitas produksi air bersih PDAM Tirta Agung mencukupi kebutuhan air bersih yang dibutuhkan penduduk. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi studi pustaka, pengumpulan data sekunder, pengolahan data, kemudian dilakukan analisis kebutuhan air bersih yang mencangkup kebutuhan air domestik, non domestik dan kehilangan air, dilanjutkan dengan membandingkan kebutuhan air bersih yang telah didapatkan terhadap kapasitas produksi air bersih PDAM Tirta Agung. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan besar kebutuhan air bersih tahun 2012 yaitu 1.101,240 liter/detik, 1.215,403 liter/detik untuk tahun 2017, 1.377,236 liter/detik untuk tahun 2022 dan 1.617,505 liter/detik untuk tahun 2027. Setelah dibandingkan, kapasitas produksi air bersih yang dihasilkan oleh PDAM Tirta Agung tidak dapat mencukupi kebutuhan air bersih yang dibutuhkan oleh penduduk Ogan Komering Ilir.
