Abstract

This research will discuss how to implement brand journalism strategy in a state-owned company, PT Pertamina RU III Plaju. The company is the oldest oil refinery industry in Indonesia. Its role for national energy security is so very important even today. PT Pertamina RU III Plaju is located on Jl. Banyan No. 1 Kel. Komperta, Kec. Plaju, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This study will use a descriptive-qualitative research method by conducting semi- structured in-depth interviews with PT Pertamina RU III Plaju Public Relations which has an important role in content production and publication activities. The results in this study are the stages in implementing the brand journalism strategy implemented by PT Pertamina RU III Plaju includes setting target audiences, setting business goals in producing content, setting stages for content creation, establishing standardization of writing techniques, and determining the use of social media. The recommendation in this research is that there is a need to analyze trends before producing content so that content posted through PT Pertamina RU III Plaju's Instagram social media can reach a wider account.
