Abstract
Research on the selectivity of trammel net fishing gear for croacker (Otolithoides pama) and (Panna microdon) was carried out in Musi River Estuary on 27 December 2022 – 5 January 2023. The research method used was the experimental fishing method, the data obtained was by participating directly in daily fishing activities or one day fishing. Observations were made on the mesh size in the inner net section with a size of 1.75 inch and 2 inch. The results of this study found 39 species (Otolithoides pama) in 1,75 inch (21.5%) in 2 inch of 16 individuals (23.9%), species (Panna microdon) in 1,75 inch totaling 23 individuals (12.7%) in 2 inch totaling 8 individuals (11.9%) and the method of catching was dominated by entangled. Length class interval of the croacker was 13-41 cm, with a negative allometric growth pattern (b<3) with a b value of 2.246 – 2.256. The selectivity curve shows that the selective mesh size for the species (Otolithoides pama) is 1.75 inch with the highest maximum selection value (SaL) of 0.993 and the selective mesh size for the species (Panna microdon) is 2 inch with a selection value the highest maximum (SbL) is 0.963.
