Abstract

ROLE OF SELF CCONTROL AND PARENTAL SOCIAL SUPPORT TOWARD JUVENILE DELINQUENCY IN TEENAGERS DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL Syahira Nandita1, M. Zainal Fikri2 ABSTRACT The reserach objective to determine role of self control and parental social support to juvenile delinquency. The hypothesis in this research is there is the role of self control and parental social support to juvenile delinquency. The researcher sample was 100 teenagers and for try out was 50 teenagers. This study used purposive sampling technique. Juvenile Delinquency, Self Control, and Parental Social Support was measured by the scale wich refers to the aspects of juvenile delinquency from Sarwono (2015, aspects of Self Control from Averill (1973), and aspects of parental social support from Sarafino (2006). The data was analyze using multiple regression. The hypothesis in this research shows than self control and parental social support to juvenile delinquency with p-value=0,010 (p<0.05), R=0,302a, R Square= 0,091 , F= 4,852. The result of hypothesis shows that there is role of self control and parental social support to juvenile delinquency by 9,1%. Therefore the hypothesis are accepted.
