Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of training and promotion on employee performance at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatra Selatan and Bangka Belitung. The data source used in this research is primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The population in this study is all active employees with permanent employee status (Branch Heads, Section Leaders, Unit Leaders, Sub-Branch Managers, Deputy Branch Managers, Managers, supervisors, and Senior Analysts) at Bank Sumsel Babel in 2022. A sample of 166 respondents was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of multiple linear analyses show that training and promotion have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Training: company management needs to evaluate the selection of candidates who are entitled to be given training. In providing promotion, it is hoped that it will be in accordance with the needs supported by skills, experience, education, work performance, and other factors that are in accordance with the needs to occupy the required position.
