Abstract
This research aims to know how the influence of the implementation of SQ3R strategy (Survey, Question, Read, Recite and Review) on the results of learning on the material structure and function of animal tissue class XI SMA N 1 Rantau Alai. The method used is Quasi Experiment with Noquaivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Determination of research sample using Cluster Random Sampling technique, with research sample that is class XI IPA 3 as experiment class and XI IPA 2 as control class. Data collection techniques used in this research is the method of student activity observation and test methods. Observation method used in this research is systematic observation using detailed category, so that the average of each observation is obtained. Experiment class is more active than control class that is 76% active category and 57% enough active category. The test method in the form of multiple choice questions as much as 20 questions and the problem of limited description as much as 5 questions. The average value of the experimental class posttest result is higher than the control class that is 55,64 for the experimental class and 39,16 for the control class. Based on the analysis of the test results obtained thitung> ttabel is 2.91> 2.004, then the HO hypothesis is rejected so that the application of SQ3R learning strategy gives a significant effect on the results of student learning class XI in SMA N 1 Rantau Alai.
