Abstract

PT Kaltim Prima Coal is one of company that moves in the mining and coal marketing for customers good domestic industry exports or.As coal supply company indonesia largest, certainly had company production target to be achieved every day. Higher production rate, innovation should be able to do that all stages can implemented in an optimum manner, especially at the drilling and blasting.Study was conducted with the methods described in research at the quantitative desktriptif. The data was undertaken directly in the field to obtain data primary and secondary data. Data analysis undertaken using software wipfrag. From the blasting on three the location the first location BN90 ( non trial ) the average digging time that is 12,45 seconds , with a kelolosan rocks 87,80 % . Location both the BN91 ( trial ) the average digging time that is 10,78 seconds , with a kelolosan rocks 94,43 % . The third namely BN12 ( trial ) the average digging time BN12 namely 12,21 seconds , with a kelolosan rocks 96,04 % .Based on the calculation of with software wipfrag , fragmentation the results of blasting in pattern 6.5 x 11.5 reach the target actual fragmentation set PT Kaltim Prima with the level kelolosan rocks above 80 % namely 94 % ( bn91 ) and also 96 % ( BN12 ) . The average digging time on the site of trial BN91 and BN12 is 10,78 seconds and 12.26 seconds , meet the standard of digging time set by pt kaltim prima coal namely 12-15 seconds.
