Abstract

This study examinesveiled motivation and veiled women's response to societal stereotypes. The problem addressed in this research is the motivation and response of female congregation members. The motivation in this study focuses on the motivations of veiled women, while the response investigates the response of veiled women to societal stereotypes regarding veil-wearing. This research employs a qualitative descriptive research method using a case study strategy, along with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that because the motive for veiling in female congregations consists of intrinsic (personal side) and extrinsic (social relations) factors, in order to motive for veiling consists of motives for social purposes and motives for religious purposes. As well as showing the response of the female congregation starting from opinions (opinions) and attitudes about community stereotypes. Keywords: Motivation, Response, Women, Veil, Stereotype
