Abstract

The tille of this study is "Symbolic Tradition Haul Mgs. H. Abdul Hamid at Community in I Ulu Village, Palembang City". The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of symbols haul tradition Mgs. H. Abdul Hamid to the community in I Ulu Village, Palembong City and understand some value in haul tradition Mgs. H. Abdul Hamid. This study used some methods approach qualitative in a manner descriptive with technique data collection using observation, interview, and documenfation, This study used a theory from Herbert Blumer that is Interactionism Symbolic. The results from this study explain that implementing community haul tradition interprets haul tradition Mgs. I1. Abdul Hamid as self reminder that every creature of life will passed away, pray for Mgs. H. Abdul Hamid, and bring closer self to Allah SWT. A value from haul tradition Mgs. H.
