Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of kepok banana peel (Musa paradisiaca) liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). This study was carried out from August to September 2022 in Talang Buluh Street, Sukamoro District, Banyuasin Regency. This study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) method which consisted of 9 treatments and 3 blocks. Each treatment was repeated three times, with each repetition containing two plant samples, so there were 54 experimental plants. The treatments were P0 = control (without fertilization), P1 = soil: cow fertilizer (2:1) + 10% kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) , P2 = soil : cow fertilizer (2:1) + 15% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P3 = soil: cow fertilizer (2:1) + 20% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P4 = soil : cow fertilizer (2:1) + 25% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P5 = soil : cow fertilizer (3:1) + 10% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P6 = soil : cow fertilizer (3:1) + 15% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P7 = soil : cow fertilizer (3:1) + 20% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), P8 = soil : cow fertilizer (3:1) + 25% banana peel kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The results showed that the treatment of cow fertilizer and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on all observation parameters, and it was recommended that purple eggplant plants be given a 25% dose of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF).
