Abstract
Abutment merupakan tumpuan dari gelagar jembatan pada bagian ujung beton diberikan atau muatan yang pada abutment dari bagian atas. Beban jembatan dilimpahkan ke pondasi di bawahnya yang kemudian diteruskan ke tanah. Penyusunan Tugas Akhir, merupakan pencarian nilai tegangan dengan metode elemen hinggam yakni program PECST (Plane Elasticity Constant Strain Triangle) seta dibandingan dengan nilai yang diperoleh secara eksak. Setiap titik joints dan element disusun secara analitis dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel 2007 kemudian dipindahkan ke dalam bentuk Notepad. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini, disajikan teori-teori dasar tentang abutment dan Metode Elemen Hingga. Pada akhir Tugas Akhir ini akan terlihat bagaimana perbandingan beban yang ditumpu berdasarkan nilai tegangan yang dihitung secara manual dan berdasarkan program PECST Kata Kunci : abutment, metode elemen hingga, Plane Elasticity Constant Strain Triangle
