Abstract

This study aims to analyze accountability in the management of church finances in terms of behavioral aspects of church manager using the phenomenology approach. The theory used in this study are Attribution Theory and Stewardship Theory. The church organization that became the object of this research was the GPdI Lebong Siarang church. This study uses qualitative methods, the data in this study were obtained from in depth interviews, documentation, and observations on the object of research. The analysis technique used in the analysis of Miles and Huberman, namely an interactive and comparative analysis model. The result of this study indicate that the management of church financial is based on biblical value namely love, service, and obedience to God. Church manager views their duties and responsibilities in the church as a form of direct respect from God. It is also motivation in the church manager to always be accountable in carrying out financial management.
