Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of aplication sugarcane cake and cow manure on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Bima Brebes variety. This study was conducted at Research Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra with the coordinates of the location (3o 13’ 22. 7”S 104o 38’ 49.7” E) from October 2022 to January 2023. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 blocks and 7 treatments, Each treatment unit contained 4 plants. The treatment given was a volume comparison between Soil, Sugarcane Cake, and Cow Manure consisting of P0 (Control) = 2:0:0, P1 = 2:2:0 , P2 = 2:1,5:0,5 , P3 = 2 :1:1 , P4 = 2:0,5:1,5 , P5 = 2:0:2 , P6 = 2:2:2. Variables observed included plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, degree of greenness of leaves, fresh weight of shoots, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of shingles, dry weight of pruning tubers, root length and tuber diameter. Based on the results of the study, it was found that treatment with a ratio of soil, sugarcane bagasse, and cow manure 2;1.5;0.5 (Variable P2) was the best treatment by producing shallot bulb 42.31 g/plant. or equivalent to 10.58 tonnes/ha with planting distance 20cm x 20cm.
