Abstract

Beberapa ruas jalan di Indonesia yang terletak di daerah yang berhubungan dengan pantai terutama yang terletak di kawasan pantai laut utara (pantura) seperti Semarang, digenangi' oleh air rob, yang kandungan keasamannya tinggi. Dalam • beberapa tahun terakhir rob yang melanda Kota Semarang genangannya makin lama semakin luas. Mengenai hal tersebut, pentingnya untuk melakukan suatu studi terhadap efek pasang air laut yang mencapai ruas jalan sehingga merusak lapisan campuran aspal panas - spesifikasi lataston yang teratas HRS-WC. Pada penelitian kali ini, dilakukan dengan cara merendam campuran Laston Wearing Course (ACWC) kedalam air laut dengan melakukan pengujian marshall. Sumber-sumber air yang dikenal adalah air laut, air hujan, air permukaan dan air lanah. Pengertian laut adalah kumpulan air asin (dalam jumlah yang banyak dan luas) yang menggenangi dan membagi daratan atas benua atau pulau-pulau. Dalam penelitian ini sampel air yang digunakan adalah air laut yang berasal dari Pulau Bangka yang berlokasi di Pangkal Pinang sebagai air rendaman terhadap campuran marshall Laston Wearing Course (AC-WC) sehingga dapat mengetahui pengaruh kandungan keasaman yang ditimbulkan dari penggunaan air tersebut.
