Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim to knowing the effect of sugarcane cake and cow manure on the growth and yield of permata F1 variety of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). This research was conducted at Research Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra with the coordinates of the location (3o13'22.7''S 104o38'49.7''E) from November 2022 to February 2023. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 blocks and 7 treatments. There was 4 plants in each treatment unit. The growing media treatment was soil, sugarcane cake, and cow manure consisted of A (Control) = 2:0:0, B = 2:2:0 , C = 2:1,5:0,5 , D = 2:1 :1 , E = 2:0,5:1,5 , F = 2:0:2 , G = 2:2:2. Variables observed were plant height, age of flowering, number of leaves per plant, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, fruit weight per plant, fruit diameter, leaf greenness level, number of branches. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the treatment with a ratio of soil, sugarcane cake and cow manure 2: 1: 1 (Treatment D) was the best treatment and it can produce 278.36 grams of tomato fruit/plant or equivalent to 11.1 tons/ha with planting distance 50 cm x 50 cm
