Abstract

This research is entitled "Development of Traditional Bangka Food "Rusip" in Batu Behole Village, Pangkalan Baru District, Central Bangka Regency in 2000-2019". This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how the development of the traditional Bangka food rusip "rusip" in Batu Behole Village in 2000-2019 and the role of the government and the surrounding community in the development of rusip in Batu Behole Village. The research was conducted from March 2023 to April 2023 using historical methods with data collection techniques through library research and in-depth interviews with several rusip makers, community leaders, and various related parties, while the approaches used were economic, sociological, and geographical approaches. Based on the results of the research, it was found that this rusip originally started from people who wanted to survive by utilizing marine products. Rusip has also developed in a hereditary manner. The role of the government and the community is very important in the development of rusip such as helping the tools in making rusip. In the 2000-2019 timeframe, corruption has experienced a very stable development, not even having experienced a decline. This is proven by the rusip originating from Batu Behole Village which is becoming famous outside the Bangka region. Keywords: Development, Traditional food, Rusip, Batu Belubang
