Abstract

The quality of the grounding system depends on the resistance in the grounding system. The smaller the resistance in the grounding system, the better the grounding system is to remove or drain excess current caused by interference or lightning strikes. Currently, buildings, one of which is a state asset, have extensive land use and buildings with a large number of them. With such a large number of buildings, a grounding system must be installed in each building in order to protect against disturbances in the form of voltage spikes. With the large number of grounding points, it is very inefficient to measure the soil resistance of each unit of the building's grounding system. Therefore, an Internet of Things-based ground resistance measurement system is used to monitor the ground resistance value of several units of the grounding system. In this study, we observed the effect of soil temperature and humidity values in predicting soil resistance values at several grounding points using the multiple linear regression method. In this study the soil moisture value is inversely proportional to the soil resistance value and directly proportional to the soil temperature value. The equation is able to predict the soil resistance value well. This research produces multivariable equations at points 1 and 2 of PLTS. The accuracy calculation values obtained from the multivariable equation are 100%, 62%, and 99.8% at point 1 PLTS and 98.6%, 88.87%, and 98.4% at point 2 PLTS.
