Abstract

In developing applications, a good database is needed to store data from an application. Data availability and security must be guaranteed by the database developer. Users also need to know what their data is used for by the application. Blockchain provides all the previous features, starting from decentralized, which means the application runs user-to-user, which means that ongoing activities are carried out without going through a third party, then data transparency can be viewed directly from the website that has been provided to view all transaction activities carried out on user data. . User data is also safe because it is encrypted according to blockchain standards and transaction activities cannot be manipulated after being recorded on the blockchain. The right to user data is also guaranteed because each transaction is carried out with full permission from the user without a third party. In this thesis, we design the Metareum and Sricoin applications to test the use of the blockchain on the Ethereum network. The trial was carried out in the form of making transactions using Sricoin as a means of payment using Metareum to carry out transaction activities.
