Abstract
This study aims to improve the performance of the hydroponic evapotranspiration irrigation system in the cultivation of green lettuce (Lactuca sativa) with the addition of an stirrer. This research was carried out from October 2022 to February 2023 at the Plant House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Jalan Anyeb, Bukit Lama, Ilir Barat 1 District, Palembang City. The research method used was a randomized block design with two treatment factors, namely stirring position (A) and stirring method (B), with each treatment combination level repeated three times. The parameters of this study consisted of tool performance (total dissolved solids, pH, air temperature, air humidity, solar radiation, and evaporation) and plant production (plant height, number of leaves, and plant fresh weight). The results showed that the position of stirring and the method of stirring had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, or fresh weight of green lettuce plants
