Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Analyze the social psychological, ecological, economic and cultural conditions that cause social entropy around the Slaughterhouse in Gandus Village, Palembang City. 2) Formulate community empowerment efforts to overcome the problem of social entropy in the Gandus Village Slaughterhouse, Palembang City. This research was conducted in the Gandus Village, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The selection of this location was done purposively. The research method used in this study is a survey method. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The data used are primary data and secondary data. This research was conducted from November 2022 to December 2022. The results showed that as much as 41% of the variation in the total variable social entropy (Y) can be influenced by social psychological entropy (X1), social ecological entropy (X2), socioeconomic entropy (X3 ) and socio-cultural entropy (X4). Social psychology entropy variable (X1) with a parameter value of 0.250 and a t-value of 2.524, social ecological entropy variable (X2) with a parameter value of 0.299 and a t-value of 2.667, socioeconomic entropy variable (X3) with a parameter value of 0.291 and a t-value of 2.510 and the socio-cultural entropy variable (X4) shows a parameter value of 0.321 and a t-value of 2.951. Overall, it shows that all social entropy factors have a positive effect on total social entropy. Efforts that can be made to overcome the problem of social entropy around the Gandus Village Slaughterhouse are partnering with the local sub-district, activating Village-Owned Enterprises, community skill training and establishing collaboration with community leaders Keywords: cultural, ecological, economic, social entropy, psichological
