Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to describe the management process of RPH-R Modern Gandus in Palembang city, 2) to determine alternative strategies and priority strategies for developing human resources in RPH-R Modern Gandus in Palembang city. The research location was chosen based on the consideration that Gandus Modern RPH-R is a slaughterhouse with the largest scale in Palembang City. Data collection This study used a survey method as a data collection method with a quantitative descriptive design. The sample used in this study was 10 respondents consisting of UPTD RPH, cattle entrepreneurs and managers. The types of data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Data processing methods to answer the first objective are descriptive, then for the second objective use the IFE and EFE matrices, SWOT quadrants, SWOT matrices and QSPM. The results showed that based on the results of the IFE and EFE matrices, Modern Gandus RPH-R faced several problems, one of which was the unfulfilled capacity of slaughterhouses and threats due to unstable local beef prices. Alternative strategies that will be used for human resource development RPH-R Modern Gandus are in quadrant II with the ST strategy,. While the strategic priority is to consider bringing in mechanical experts as teaching experts as well as pilot workers.
