Abstract

Global warming is a phenomenal issue today and poses a challenge for the population in Indonesia. One sector that significantly contributes to global warming is the construction industry. Green homes are considered a solution to promote environmentally friendly approaches in the housing sector. However, developers perceive green homes as too risky for business at present. Nevertheless, there is little evidence to suggest that developers fully comprehend the theory and practical implementation of green homes, particularly in Indonesia. This research utilizes a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires both online and offline, consisting of questions regarding perceptions of the concept of green homes. The respondents' answers are measured using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The collected data is tested using SPSS software and processed using Microsoft Excel. The data analysis includes validity testing and reliability testing. The data processing involves calculating the frequency and percentage of responses for each question item. The study includes 45 respondents who are registered developers in the Real Estate Indonesia South Sumatra chapter, located in Palembang city. The research questionnaire is divided into three sections: understanding of green home features, motivation for implementing green homes, and obstacles in implementing green homes. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents have a good understanding of green home features, agree with the motivation for implementing green homes, and agree with the obstacles faced in implementing green homes.
