The method that used in this study is a qualitative research method which is descriptive analysis by describing the form and process of the social relations of female workers in the Kecap Teratai factory in Palembang City. This study uses the concept of Gillin and Gillin regarding to associative and disassociative social relations, and the concept of reciprocity from Sahlins by looking at one form of reciprocity, namely general reciprocity. Data collection was obtained through direct observation at the research location and conducting in-depth interviews with fourteen informants, consisting of female workers, male workers and factory owners of Kecap Teratai. The results of this study indicate that there are cooperative and competitive relationships that occured between business actors. The cooperation relationship is formed through work activities in soy sauce production activities. The form of competition that occurs between female workers and with male workers is competition in pursuing bonuses and wage increases. That is a conscious actions but it happens unconsciously that they are competing so it encourages the workers to increase their working spirit. Then the process of social relations that are formed is also based on the same background, namely the economy, education and local origin so that will facilitate social relations between them. From the form and process of social relations, raises a general reciprocity in the form of substitution of work tasks when there are those who are unable to attend and help each other when someone is experiencing a disaster.
