Abstract

Permasalahan kepadatan penduduk dan permukiman kumuh di Palembang menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang penting. Pemerintah Kota Palembang telah memberi usulan tentang revitalisasi pembangunan Rumah Susun Ilir Barat. Kota Palembang menjadi salah satu kota dengan suhu rata-rata yang tinggi di Indonesia, yaitu berkisar pada 34,60 °C pada tahun 2021 dan 34,75 °C pada tahun 2020. Dengan permasalahan perencanaan dan perancangan yang ada, pembangunan rumah susun sangat diperlukan. Konsep Arsitektur Tropis dipilih sebagai solusi permasalahan perancangan rumah susun di Palembang dengan kondisi alam kota ini. Konsep arsitektur tropis ini, mengarah pada penyelesaian masalah yang disebabkan oleh faktor iklim tropis. Faktor-faktor tersebut antara lain panas matahari, suhu esktrim, hujan, serta ketinggian ambang kelembaban (Karyo, 2010). Pada perancangan rumah susun ini, diterapkan pengendalian terhadap faktor-faktor iklim tersebut. Bangunan rumah susun terdiri dari 1 massa bangunan yang dipisah menjadi 2 tower. Sebagai bentuk pengendalian terhadap sinar matahari, bagian bukaan terluas pada bangunan dibuat tidak mengarah ke barat atau timur dan pemasangan secondary skin. Pengendalian suhu dilakukan dengan memperbesar bukaan yang searah dengan arah angin. Pengendalian kelembaban dengan menerapkan cross ventilation dan menggunakan jendela nako sebagai bukaan. Pengendalian terhadap hujan, diterapkannya teritisan pada jendela bagian kamar tiap hunian. Pengendalian terhadap sinar matahari berupa arah bangunan menjadi konsep perancangan untuk tapak. Lalu, struktur bangunan menggunakan core dan rigid frame karena banguanan merupakan bangunan highrise. Utilitas pada rumah susun ini menggunakan shaft yang letaknya ada yang di dalam dan luar core. Untuk utilitas pemipaan air terletak pada shaft yang berada di luar core. Utilitas pemipaan terletak di setiap kamar untuk pemipaan air bersih, air kotor, dan air bekas. Utilitas yang berada di dalam core, yaitu listrik dan sampah. The problem of population density and slum settlements in Palembang is one of the important problems. The Palembang City Government has made a suggestion regarding the revitalization of the Ilir Barat Flats development. Palembang City is one of the cities with a high average temperature in Indonesia, which is around 34.60°C in 2021 and 34.75°C in 2020. With the existing planning and design problems, the construction of flats is urgently needed . The concept of Tropical Architecture was chosen as a solution to the problem of designing flats in Palembang with the city's natural conditions. This tropical architectural concept leads to solving problems caused by tropical climate factors. These factors include the sun's heat, extreme temperatures, rain, and the height of the humidity threshold (Karyo, 2010). In the design of this flat, control is applied to these climatic factors. Flats consist of 1 building mass which is divided into 2 towers. As a form of control against sunlight, the widest opening in the building is made not facing west or east and secondary skin is installed . Temperature control is done by enlarging the opening in the direction of the wind. Control humidity by implementing cross ventilation and using nako windows as openings. Control of the rain, the application of embossing on the windows of the rooms of each occupancy. Control of sunlight in the form of the direction of the building is the design concept for the site. Then, the building structure uses a core and a rigid frame because the building is a high-rise building . Utilities in this flat use shafts that are located inside and outside the core. For utilities, the water piping is located on the shaft which is outside the core. Plumbing utilities are located in each room for piping of clean water, dirty water and used water. Utilities that are in the core, namely electricity and garbage.
