Abstract

This research describes informations about how Strengthening SAR Operations for Indonesia-Singapore Bilateral Cooperation through Maritime Diplomacy in a form of an agreement between Indonesia-Singapore to reach an interest on strengthening SAR operation. This based on a fact that Indonesia and Singapore stand in the same zone that both have potential on natural disaster and SAR Team performance is strongly needed for minimizing the impact. The theory used in this research is the main concept of bilateral cooperation and maritime diplomacy and using descriptive qualitative method with interview and literature study for data collecting method. This research also try to outline bilateral cooperation activities between Indonesia and Singapore on strengthening SAR operation, potential, and triumph in developing SAR performance. Based on the results of the research and analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that Indonesia Singapore bilateral cooperation in strengthening SAR operations through cooperative maritime diplomacy has great potential in increasing effectiveness and efficiency in handling disasters and emergencies in water areas. Indonesia-Singapore bilateral cooperation in SAR operations is carried out through cooperative maritime diplomacy with 4 dimensions such as HA/DR. goodwill visit, Training and Joint Exercise and Joint Maritime Security Operation which prioritizes cooperation, mutuatust, and capacity building in handling disasters and emergencies in water areas. The two indicators of bilateral cooperation are Training and Joint Exercise and Joint Maritime Security Operation SAR Indonesia Singapore which have succeeded in increasing security and security in the territorial waters of Indonesia and Singapore.
