Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) Calculating the income of spinach farmers in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) Analyzing the influence of what factors affect spinach farming production in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) Analyzing the allocative efficiency of spinach farming in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The selection of this location was carried out deliberately (Purposive) with the consideration that Semambu Island Village is a village where the majority of the population make a living as farmers with spinach as the most produced commodity. The method used in this study is the survey method. Research with this simple random sampling method requires special criteria such as farmers who run spinach farms, the area of production land used and the number of types of production factors used so that the samples taken in accordance with the objectives of the study can solve research problems and can provide more present value. Production factors such as seeds and manure have a real effect on the production of spinach farming in Pulau Semambu Village. The use of factors of production such as seeds and labor has not been efficient in area I on the elasticity curve, with an average use of the seed in Pulau Semambu Village are 2,28 kg/ha, additional usage of seeds can be added as recommended as much 5kg/ha. The use of land area production factors, manure, urea fertilizer, and pesticides is inefficient. In spinach farming activities in Pulau Semambu Village, farmers earn an average income of Rp. 8,309,103 Rp/ha/mt. Keywords: allocative efficiency, income, production factors, spinach
