Abstract

The study aimed to obtain information about the effect of Probing-Prompting Model on the student‟s learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan. This research used Pre-Experimental with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection of concept comprehension test with Simple Random Sampling. The data was collected from XI IPA 2 class with 31 total numbers of students. The average value of student‟s concept understanding in the posttest was higher than the pretest was 78,45 and 41,94. Result of hypothesis testing data analysis using Statiscal Program for Social Science (SPSS20) application obtained t-calculated of 39,378 while t-table was 2,0423. The result of this study showed that tcalculated > ttable is 39,378 > 2,0423, with the result that H0 is rejected and Ha was accepted, that can be conclude which means that there were significant implementation of Probing-Prompting Model to student‟s learning outcomes of digestive system topic in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan.
