Abstract

Sumber air merupakan salah satu komponen yang utama pada suatu sistem penyediaan air bersih, karena tanpa sumber air maka suatu sistem penyediaan air bersih tidak akan berfungsi. Pada dasarnya sistem penyediaan air bersih adalah air baku diambil dan sumbernya dan diolah di bangunan instalasi pengolahan menjadi air bersih yang kemudian didistribusikan ke konsumen. Pengolahan air bersih di Instalasi Pengolahan Air Bersih kecamatan Baturaja Timur ini harus memenuhi standar kriteria dan konsepsi perencanaan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Bersih yang meliputi : analisa kualitas air baku, jenis pengolahan dan konfigurasinya, kualitas teknis perencanaan (aspek proses dan aspek hidrolika), kebutuhan air yang dibutuhkan oleh pelanggan. Kelima konsepsi diatas sangat penting untuk menganalisis Instalasi Pengolahan Air Bersih terutama untuk menghitung kebutuhan air bersih dan mendesain instalasi pengolahan air bersih. Dalam menganalisis dan mendesain Instalasi Air bersih, ada 2 faktor penting yang harus diperhitungkan yaitu : 1). Analisis kebutuhan pelanggan domestik dan non domestik. 2).Analisis perencanaan Hidrolik Instalasi pengolahan air bersih di kecamatan Baturaja Timur kota Baturaja. Berdasarkan perhitungan hidrolika unit-unit pengolahan yang dipakai meliputi : Unit pengaduk cepat (koagulator), Unit pengaduk lambat (Flokulator), Unit pengendapan (Sedimentasi), Unit penyaringan (Filter), dan Unit penampungan sementara (Reservoir) baik dari segi ukuran dan bentuk telah memenuhi kriteria yang ditentukan, Instalasi Pengolahan air bersih bakung dikembangkan dengan debit air sebesar 250 L/detik.
