Abstract

The income contribution of women nipa matting craftsmen to family income in Kelurahan 3-4 Ulu, Seberang Ulu 1 District, Palembang City is the contribution of income made by women nipa matting craftsmen to family income which is calculated in percent units. This study aims to determine the contribution of the income of women nipa roof craftsmen to family income and to find out what factors affect the income of women nipa roof craftsmen. The research method uses a survey method with a total of 44 respondents. The results showed that the income contribution of women nipa palm craftsmen to family income was 50.17%. While the average income received is Rp. 1,137,272/month. This shows that the income contribution received by women nipa roof craftsmen is relatively large compared to the income contribution of their husbands and children. The results of the analysis using multiple linear regression analysis stated that the age variable (X1) had a positive and significant effect on the nipa palm craftsman's income variable (Y) while the education level variables (X2), working hours (X3), work experience (X4), and the number of dependents (X5) did not have a positive and insignificant effect on the income of women nipa matting craftsmen (Y).
