Abstract
The aims of this study to determine the effect of applying liquid silica fertilizer on the production of large red chili (Capsicum Annum L.). This research was conducted in Palembang City, South Sumatra (4° 59' 31.24'' LS and 104° 43' 34.47''BT) from November 2022 to February 2023. The experiment was in this study used a randomized block design consisting of 5 levels treatment of liquid silica fertilizer and 4 bloks (replications) and each treatment consisted of 3 plants, so there are 60 units. The treatments in this study were: A0 = Control, A1 = 1 ml/plant, A2 = 3 ml/plant, A3 = 5 ml/plant and A4 = 7 ml/plant. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the use of liquid silica fertilizer at a dose of 5 ml/plant (treatment A3) gave the best results for the production of red chili plants. The production of large red chilies in the A3 treatment (liquid silica fertilizer 5 ml/plant) reached 105,14 g/plant, equivalent to 2,15 tons/ha.
